Games Checkout is a Metchosin, BC based video game and vinyl record business serving customers across Vancouver Island, Greater Victoria, Canada, the USA, and beyond. Since starting in June 2023, the business has grown into one of the largest - and possibly the largest - independent selections of video games and vinyl records on Vancouver Island, with more than 17,500 items sold, over 25,000 games in stock, over 35,000 vinyl LPs in stock, and more than 300 collections purchased.
Our Story
Games Checkout started in June 2023 as a one-man operation focused on buying, cleaning, testing, and reselling video games, consoles, accessories, and vinyl records. The goal has always been simple: connect unused collections with people who will actually enjoy them.
What began locally in Metchosin and across Vancouver Island quickly expanded through consistent buying, careful item preparation, and reliable shipping. Today, most orders are shipped within Canada, the USA is the second largest market, and international sales are the third most common destination.
Even with strong national and international demand, there is still a major focus on growing local sales around Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island.
What We Do
The business focuses on buying and selling video games, consoles, accessories, handhelds, and vinyl records, with inventory sourced primarily from Vancouver Island and increasingly from across Canada. Every item is reviewed with resale quality in mind so buyers know what they are getting.
Serving Vancouver Island, Canada, the USA, and International Buyers
Most sales are shipped within Canada, with the USA ranking second and international destinations third. That broad reach helps keep inventory moving and helps more items find the right buyer, whether they are common everyday titles or harder-to-find collector pieces.
At the same time, local growth remains a priority. Games Checkout is aiming to build even more awareness around Greater Victoria, Metchosin, Langford, Colwood, Sooke, Nanaimo, Duncan, and the rest of Vancouver Island.
Delivery Only for Customer Orders
Customer orders are fulfilled by delivery and shipping only. In most cases, the time and fuel cost needed to coordinate pickup ends up exceeding the cost of simply delivering the order properly.
Because of professional logistics and the volume of packages shipped out, very competitive shipping rates are available. That helps keep delivery practical for buyers across Vancouver Island, across Canada, and into the USA.
No Local Pickup for Customer Purchases
Business license and insurance requirements do not allow local pickup for customers who are buying. Delivery and shipping remain the approved fulfillment methods for customer orders.
